Our vision is to enable donors to make direct cash transfers to impact the lives of children affected by war. We believe that children affected by war have not given up on their dreams and futures.
The guiding principles of the pilot project are rooted in findings of social sciences. Recent scientific research establishes the long-term consequences of deprivation in children’s early years, and the effects of rising inequality undercutting the idea that everyone had a “fair shot at a better life”..
We believe that the pilot program has many benefits over the “one off” humanitarian attempts by many to help individual families. The intervention is designed to be carried out in an institutional scalable manner (i.e. we can increase the quantity without affecting the quality). The program is also designed to not include work disincentives than traditional aid.
We believe that the families of the fallen deserve the dignity to choose for themselves how best to improve their lives — cash enables that choice.
